Identifying, Analyzing And Solving Problems To Maximize The Potential Of Business
Management Consultants are like
fruit, cars, and homes.
Most people have eaten pineapple. But if all you've ever had was canned pineapple you didn't know what you were missing.
Its taste is good until you try fresh
pineapple. That first time you bite
into fresh pineapple the taste
explodes in your mouth. Your
senses come alive and you realize
there is a whole new world that
you've just discovered.
It's the same with management consultants. There are a lot of them out there. Some are fairly competent. But few can be called the best. Few have the background, the down in the trenches and walked in your shoes experience to know what you face and how you feel. Few have put themselves at risk not once, but over and over again throughout their career and struggled through to success. At G. R. Johnson & Son we've done what few have done. We've lived it. We've been where you are. We can empathize with your circumstances because we've been there.
Many management consultants can give you some help in your business. They have a few concepts, programs, ideas, and even experiences they can tap into to give you some help in various areas. They'll get you to most destinations just like that trusty old little car can get you to the end of a trip. But few have the ability to perform with the best of them.
Like a little old car, you can get there, or like a Rolls Royce, you can experience the difference in the ride when you have top quality and luxury at your disposal. Years of experience, training, and life lessons have taught us how to do more than just “get there.”
We see things from a different perspective than most. As one client recently said after 10 hours of brainstorming, “You're really good at helping us see another side of things. You really get us thinking in new ways.” We like to quote Albert Einstein who said, “We can't solve our problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” Different thinking opens doors to new solutions, new ideas and processes. None of us have a corner on the idea market. We can help you think in ways that may be different and help your business more than any you've ever seen before.
Many management consultants can help you with issues that will protect you from the “bad weather” of business. They can help you come up with some shelter that, like that little old shack, will get you in out of the rain... or at least most of it. You may still have a few leaks in the roof or a door or window that doesn't close tightly or is missing. But for the most part you'll have some protection.
That's quite different than the few of us who have the savvy to move you into that mansion with a full staff of servants. Your business is about service. It should serve you. But do you know what price you'll have to pay and how to go about paying to get your business to do just that, serve you? This is a lesson few businesses ever learn. Even the most successful of businesses that don't understand these things could be far more successful if they learned them. And they'd enjoy the process of getting there more, too.
We have experienced that same process. Time and again in businesses owned by us or that we've run for others we've been through this process. Every time the solutions we've learned to employ have proven to work. Whether the economic climate is good or bad. Whether the government is in a pro business or anti business mood, these processes work. These are the things that help assure your success at the highest level. It's like living in that fully staffed mansion as opposed to that little shack and dodging some of those raindrops coming in through that leak above your head.
Which sounds better to you, canned pineapple or fresh pineapple? A little old car or a luxury Rolls Royce? A leaky shack or a mansion with staff?
Choosing a management consultant is the same kind of choice. They all work to some degree, but some of us work a whole lot better.
Take a look around our website and learn why we're different. Learn why we come to the table with a mindset that can relate to you. We'd love to have the opportunity to work with you.
Business is what we do.... and we do it well.
